It has taken me some time to realize but today I can honestly say that I am much more interested in a home for myself and the people I share my life with. A home is established by living in it, by putting thought and a decorating process together. Ultimately you see that your home is a reflection of you, an image of you. A home should refelct the personalities of the people who live in them. Here is one of the rugs that has made my house a home. A Serapi design rug hand made in India brings my entry way alive. The colors are so rich and the design is powerful. Share your comments and tell me what you think of this rug.

Flower Power Pixie
Look what just arrived........I look at this rug and it makes me smile....Flower Power by Tufenkian. Available in many standard sizes and custom also. Tufenkian is a company of custom Tibetan Rugs that are available in standard as well as custom sizes. So, when a client chooses a Tufenkian rug, the options are endless. The beauty of working with these rugs is that one can pick and choose colors from one rug and place them into another. Tufenkian rugs are excellent at custom making the rug that is perfect for the room. While custom is a large part of the Tufenkian process, there are quite a few designs already in place that clients fall in love with. The Tufenkian company has taken much time and money in designing and creating rugs in various color schemes and designs where there is almost a rug for every room decor. Can you find a room for this rug in your home?

Neighbors who Network
A great evening with Neighbors who Network.........
On Oct. 20 members of Neighbors Who Network gathered at Kaoud Carpets & Rugs in Wilton for a great networking social. Typically the group meets for early morning coffee meetings, but this month's special event proved to be a success. Refreshments were served and much mingling was done. Fred Kaoud Jr. spoke on the history of our family owned carpet & rug business. We educated the members about the service oriented process in helping customers choose the right rugs for their homes and also talked about the cleaning process which shed some light on how antique rugs can last for years in such great condition. As everyone was surrounded by beautifully colored, woven rugs of all different types, we also heard from Fairfield County Bank and Sendoutcards.com. A very special thanks to Cathy Drury of TR Building and Remodeling , Redding CT for organizing the event.

Cozy up this winter......

I am so excited to sit by a fire this winter. In Connecticut...in Vermont...wherever you are add one of these Borrego fur rugs from Northern Nepal and you will have an instant compliment to a roaring fire. They are soft, silky, plush and warm.... I guarantee you will love them.
